How Smudge lost her leg:
When we obtained Smudge, she had an unknown injury and wasn’t using her leg. After veterinarian examination, they were not able to make her leg work again so it needed to be amputatated.
Why Smudge should be Scrap:
Smudge has the disposition and personality that everyone wishes they had. She is happy just to be around. She friendly and obedient, and will try to do anything for a ‘treat’. Dispite the loss of her leg, she’s been determined to be a ‘normal’ dog. She mastered the tall set of steps into our training facility and tackles them both up and down.
Dispite her signature three legs, she still loves to hunt and take an afternoon run/walk in the woods with anyone who will take her. She often assists our dog training in obedience lessons with other dogs. She is loved and adored by everyone she meets. Just looking at her face is enough to make anyone smile!
