Dreaming of stardom
How Chopper lost his leg.
Chopper had a very rough start in life and he was surrendered to the Seattle Humane Society with a badly broken leg. How he broke his leg is not known but Choppers new owners believe the previous owners because they could not afford the cost of the amputation. We don’t think Chopper was ill-treated because he was very well taken care of otherwise.
Choppers owners were volunteer forest parents at the Humane Society and they picked Chopper up on the day of his surgery. They had every intention of nursing him back to health and then putting him back up for adoption. But that idea only lasted about 2 minutes, as they fell in love with him & very quickly knew he was meant to be a part of their family!
Why Chopper should play Scrap?
Chopper is bright, smart and has a personality bigger than any Hollywood superstar.Chopper has the ability to connect very strongly with people. He is often stopped on the street because of his big smile, black eye and spotted ear; It’s only later that people realize he only has 3 legs!
