Favorite hobbies:
I like to chase a ball and a Frisbee; I enjoy running in circles to get your attention; and I love scooting next to you to get snuggles. But I guess my main hobby is scarfing down snacks (BACON!).
Tricks or funny things:
It’s funny the way I sprint after things (let’s just say a marathoner I am not). I also look at people as if I understand what they are saying.
How he lost his leg:
As you may or may not know, Atlanta is full of terrible drivers! I was just minding my own business one day when one of them ran over me and broke both of my rear legs and hips. I was taken to Fulton County Animal Services, and they were unable to locate anyone who would claim me.
I probably would have been euthanized, except a nice person there took mercy on me and sent me to Dr. Michael Good, at Town and Country Vet Clinic in Marietta, GA. Dr. Good placed me into The Homeless Pets Foundation program, and he did surgery on my legs and hips. Unfortunately, he couldn’t save one of my legs.
With the help of Dr. Good and the clinic staff and several dedicated volunteers, I recovered at the vet clinic and learned how to walk on three legs. I then landed in a wonderful foster home where I have learned how to trust people and how to play with other dogs and toys! My foster dad says I am as normal as any other dog. He says he forgets sometimes that I am missing one leg, until I try to jump off the ground on my one back leg (gravity wins sometimes). My life is so good now, but I must admit that I am still looking for my forever home.
Why Bradley should be Scrap:
I should be Scrap because my rugged good looks make me a natural fit for a dog named Scrap. Also I won’t be a prima donna on the set, and I ask only that any compensation I receive be edible. Plus I am highly intelligent, quick to learn, and eager to please!
I don’t require my own trailer, just a warm, comfortable bed and a bowl of fresh water. I have a great sense of humor and a great big bark!
I will represent the millions of wonderful dogs who, through no fault of their own, wind up in animal shelters each year. I will show the world that all shelter dogs deserve a loving home and a second chance!
